Some Zenfolio Love...

When I first started my photography as a business, I realized that I wanted to have a place to upload my clients' photos so that they could view them online, and send the link to their families. A friend of mine mentioned a few options, including Zenfolio.

(a screen shot of my Zenfolio "client viewing" page)
They were well and truly the best company for my needs, offering customizable galleries, client purchasing through the site, as well as connecting with professional print labs making it super easy to get your photos from the computer screen and into my clients' hands. All that for a reasonable cost to me? I was sold.

Recently, they've just introduced a buuuunch of new and amazing changes, so I'll be playing around with the design of my client viewing page, and let me assure you - it will be awesome. They not only offer the ability to customize, but they give you templates to work from, as well as the ability to build your own bespoke page from the ground up.
I can set a certain time for a gallery to expire, I can make images available for hi-resolution (and low-resolution) customer downloads, and I can even set my own pricing. Zenfolio is a work of art, and I just can't live without it when it comes down to brass tacks.

Zenfolio has revolutionized the way I do business, and if that wasn't enough, they are offering a way to revolutionize the way I photograph, too!
Too often has my (amazing. No really, I love it) 1970's rainbow camera strap snapped off my camera, sending my heart into an agonizing panic attack as I watch my precious 5DMk2 plummet to the floor. Why have I not replaced it? Because of sentimentality. My dad gave me the strap (attached to my first ever film camera, a 1970's Canon F1) and I've pretty much been using it ever since. Now that I'm an adult, I realize that all good things must come to an end, and a rainbow strap may not exactly exude the professionalism that I hope to show while shooting a wedding. I'll still keep it and use it on another camera, but for now, I'm really hoping to win this one.
Hence the blog post.

At any rate, I really do love these companies, so please take a moment to check them out, if you have a moment! Click here for BlackRapid, and here for Zenfolio!
