Lonely

As much as i love it here in rural Ireland, it is insanely lonely during the days when V is off at work. I would love to drive off to Lismore to visit my friends there (or even Dungannon, if i could afford it!) but I still can't get a driver's license yet. Too much detail to go into that right here anyway... maybe another time...

But yeah. I'm very lonely while V is gone. I very much appreciate him getting up early to go to work for us and i appreciate it a lot when he stays late even when he doesn't want to. It's all in the name of clawing our way out of debt. I understand this. But i can't be isolated all day with no one to talk to and like it, now can i? nope. I'm a social person.
I've never been a loner... (ok maybe i didn't fit in so much at high school but i had my little group of friends who still loved me even though i was a bit off. even then i wasn't lonely) and although i lived "alone" in my apartment, i still had my beautiful kitty who kept me company.
V took this photo of her when he was in the states with me over Christmas and for our wedding. She really is the sweetest cat i've ever known. The only cat who comes when she's called... Sure, she has a personality - but it's certainly less of the "i don't give a damn" than other cats that i've met.
Jewel is staying with my bestie in Ohio. The original plan was to have her stay there for a few months, then i would fly back to America and pick her up. Unfortunately - the recoup from the move to Ireland has lasted longer than expected, and although i desperately want to bring her here, we just don't have the money to fly me out there at this time. Also, my dear friend is sticking her neck out for me as it is, since her apartment doesn't allow cats.
V and i had to make a painful decision last night. We had to make the decision to re-home her. She and i have been through a lot together, Jewel and me... but she HATED traveling from Washington to Ohio and i can't imagine moving her all the way to Ireland only to move her back to the states in a couple years. She would hate me forever. lol!
In her best interests, i think it would be best for her to just find another loving home within the states (hopefully close to Ohio). So if you know of anyone who would take care of this precious Jewel.... please let me know.

She is litter trained, never has clawed furniture, loves to sunbathe and hates to be outside when it's cold. She has been raised indoors. Jewel is almost 4 years old. She was micro-chipped recently, and also had her rabies shots within the last 6 months. Jewel is a very healthy kitty and has never had any problems with her sinuses, which i've heard that many Persians have. Her eyes drain a little, but that is normal. It cleans off with a warm, damp towel - she hates it, but will let you do it if you're quick.
She loves her kitty-treats and mostly likes to be fed the kitty treats like she's a baby (lol sorry... that's my fault...) ie, you hold her on her back, cradled in your arm and give her the treats one by one. HAHAHA! Posh kitty is spoiled, but not rotten.
She has actually never had many toys, but she loves them. Especially catnip. When there's a clawing/climbing post in the house, she uses it but is fine without one.
Jewel likes to play with thin paper (like tissue for wrapping) and is just as content playing with this as she is with expensive toys.
There must be someone who would love and care for my cat as well or better than i can. Please ask around, and if you know someone - or if you ARE someone, leave me a comment :) She is best suited to a home where she will be the only cat. Other cats make her anxious and she doesn't get along well with them - but she does ok with kiddos!
hopefully, i hear from someone soon. She needs to find a new home ASAP.

Thanks for your help!
